I’ve told you about Harry’s Place down the other side of the tracks. But there’s more to say about Harry and his nightclub. Harry’s given some of the top singers in the business their start. Most of these songbirds don’t give Harry his due, but some stop by the club for a song and a visit. This VivaChas image of audition night some time back is a personal favorite. It features Harry’s Axeman accompanying a hopeful songstress and the only known image of the man himself. Harry’s a very private person but he did confide to Chas that he’s offering this Chanteuse a lifetime contract as the next Miz Chin. Guess Harry reckons that number seven just might be the charm. Harry’s what they call a serial monogamist. I guess you’d call him a hopeless romantic. That’s something that ol’ Chas and Harry have in common besides enjoying a good cigar. We’re always hopeful.
